The future of assistance systems
Development of a cooperative standing aid in collaboration with KIT
In close cooperation with the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), ISKO Koch GmbH is working on the development of an innovative standing aid that provides optimal support for both people and technology. This is based on the latest scientific findings on cooperative human-machine interaction: instead of using technology solely as passive support, a system is being developed that recognises the user’s movements and intentions, communicates with them and intelligently supplements their actions. The aim is to create an assistance system that enables safe and independent standing up while responding to individual needs. The collaboration between ISKO Koch and KIT combines practical engineering knowledge with sound research to realise modern assistance solutions.
