What is a stand-up bed?<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/div>\n\n

Section 33 of Book V of the Social Code (SGB V) sets out the statutory entitlement to the provision of assistive devices, whilst Section 40 of Book XI of the Social Code (SGB XI) covers care aids and corrective actions to improve the home environment, with the aim of facilitating care at home or enabling people to lead as independent a life as possible.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

Rotadorm<\/strong> stand-up and rotating care beds have medical aid codes issued by health and long-term care insurance funds. They are medical aids which can help patients to participate fully in their environment once again and minimise the physical strain on both patients and carers.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

Beds designed for people with disabilities, featuring a sitting and stand-up function, are infinitely adjustable by motor. The bed is fitted with a multi-position adjustable lying surface, with separate adjustment options for the head and foot sections. Castors are fitted to allow the bed to be moved. The bed can be adjusted from the lying position into a<\/strong> forward-facing, armchair-like sitting position<\/strong>, which allows the patient to get up starting from the seated position.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

Who is this type of bed suitable for?<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/div>\n\n

The Rotadorm<\/strong> stand-up and rotating care bed is indicated for all conditions or disabilities in which the patient, due to joint problems, reduced muscle strength or pain, is unable to perform the sequence of movements involved in standing up to sit down (transferring to a wheelchair) \u2013 and vice versa \u2013 with or without assistance, or where the carer is subjected to significant physical strain.
